reproducibility and the time consumption of the measurements (approximately 20 samples/min). The relative standard deviations (N = 12) amounted to 2.9% and 3.8% in signal height and signal area, respectively. Of course, better RSD% values could be obtained for 0.5 mL sample volumes considered as continuous sampling (0.9% and 1.1%). These analytical performance data prove that the sensitivity obtained only from 30 μL sample volume are only 30% worse than using continuous sample introduction, and the precision values are also acceptable. However, by reducing the sample volume below 30 μL, the LOD and precision data become dramatically worse.
