Since antibiotics is used against bacteria, which is a living thing. So the bacteria will always try find a new way to survive. Misuse or wasteful use of antibiotics can cause this problem to occur much earlier. And since the most recent antibiotics is discovered in 1980, 36 years of wastefully using the same old drug will certainly cause the bacteria to find a way to survive through it. For examples, usually the antibiotics is used to cure bacterial infections or in operation but sometimes will be prescribed to flu-patient, which is wasteful and useless since flu is cause by virus not bacteria, the other is inconstantly use of it, which will make bacteria getting used to this drug. Either way is the main and most commonly cause of antibiotics ineffectiveness. And when it’s completely ineffective many operations will become deadly because of bacterial infections during surgery, and those infected will be significantly harder to cure.
