At the other end of the spectrum from this isolated generalist travel agency,
we selected other types of assemblers at front office level,
such as the agency “Esprit Libre Voyages,” an upmarket agency located at the heart of France’s second biggest metropolitan area, Lyon, and a member of the voluntary network AFAT as well.
We also selected a local public destination management organisation, the Southern Grenoble Area tourist office, for its positioning outside the field of private competition, but one that has an undeniable role as an assembler of local services for territorial development.
We included in our analysis invisible but inescapable actors such as online agencies and large retailers, whom we researched through secondary data (documentary analysis and websites)
