shows the influence of the number of extrusion cycles on the viscosities of LDPE and the LDPE/TPS blend at 150 °C. The standard LDPE samples and the reprocessed samples with 5 extrusions and 10 extrusions did not exhibit a considerable variation of viscosity as a function of the extrusion cycles. A similar result was also observed for the LDPE/TPS blend submitted to multiple extrusion cycles, i.e., no major changes in the viscosity of the blend was found due to the reprocessing operations. This result may imply that any thermo-oxidative reaction that might have occurred due to the reprocessing of LDPE and LDPE/TPS through the 5–10 extrusion cycles was not able to impose severe chain damage (such as chain cleavage or network formation).
