Several online self-assessment tools for cultural
competence are offered that provide a vehicle to
measure outcomes for personnel, organizations,
and the community at large. The Cultural Competence
Health Practitioner Assessment (CCHPA,
1999–2004) is intended to enhance the delivery of
high-quality services to culturally and linguistically
diverse individuals and underserved communities
and to promote cultural and linguistic
competence as an essential approach for practitioners
in the elimination of health disparities.
