they reported that e-mail, course discussion boards,
phone conferencing, Google Docs, and Facebook
were also used. It was informally observed that teams
that primarily used e-mail or discussion boards to
develop their presentations had more misunderstandings
and seemed less committed than teams that
met face-to-face, either in person or using videoconferencing.
It has been previously reported that visual
and audio face-to-face communication improves interprofessional
cooperation,19 so live team communication
will be strongly encouraged in the future.
