worshipping day is New Year's Eve day. This day is divided into three separate times. In the early morning Chinese Thais worship the gods of the land with boiled streaky pork, chicken, duck, liquor, tea, and silver and gold paper. After that, the worship of ancestors takes plance in the late morning. The offerings consist of boiled streaky pork, chicken, duck, other meats and desserts. They then make a sacrifice to their ancestors by burning silver and gold paper. Then the whole family gathers together to eat the offered meal for luck and to exchange 'angpao' with each other. They will then worship dead relatives in the afternoon with Niangago (Kanhomkhaeng), Kanhomtian, taro in syrup and silver and gold paper. For luck, fire-crackers are also lit.
