While most people are familiar with the term, “mental health,” the new term "behavioral health" is a more all-encompassing term. Where mental health covers many of the same issues as behavioral health, it only refers to the biological component of this aspect of wellness. The term, “behavioral health” encompasses all contributions to mental wellness including substances use, behavior, habits, and other external forces.
