This scenario illustrates how complicated barriers can be and why it can be so difficult to solve or resolve them. The difficulty can be seen as a workspace problem that did not get solved by either A or B. B’s lack of organization compounded the problem, which escalated into a conflict. Had either on them addressed the workspace issue immediately and explained her need for more file drawers and space, most likely the conflict would not have happened. Another way to look at it to suggest that neither A nor B sew the workspace as a problem because they were getting alone fine until A noticed how unorganized B was. This continued to bother her, creating a conflict. Because of the conflict, the workspace suddenly seemed much smaller. If the assistants were to address their different work styles and resolve the conflict, the problem of workspace would no longer be an issue.
