Numerical analysis of amplified fragment length polymorphism
(AFLP) profiles using an HhaI–HindIII-based
protocol (Debruyne et al., 2010) was performed to identify
and characterize the isolates and distinguish them from
species of Campylobacter. This analysis identified 10
different AFLP profiles (data not shown) and clustered
the 16 isolates together in a phenon distinct from
characterized members of the genus Arcobacter.
