Now that we generally think that we can make it out in our new relationship, we still need blessing from Allah, a very important step to take. There's a prayer called Sunnat Istikharah that both of us have to pray to Allah. The purpose is to get an indication from Allah through our dreams that He has blessed us to be together and sealed our relationship in marriage that last our lifetime. Sometimes the dreams can be positively clear that we're meant for each other. Sometimes it may not be so clear so we say this Sunat every night until we see or feel something very positive or get a strong signal from Allah. That means we must be patient... and Allah likes people to be patient :) In the meantime, we continue to email or speak over the phone to let each other know more about our life, likes, dislikes, and dreams.
I'm going to learn it by heart quickly, so that I can start to pray this Sunnat every night and want you do likewise. If you've not already heard about how to pray this Sunat, do try to find out from your religious teacher or your close Muslim friend to go through the instructions I wrote below, OK? Learn it by heart, and also write in big fonts on A3 size paper and put them on the floor so that you can see it to recite properly during this sunnat prayer.
Remember, you can only say this prayer just before you sleep :)
