It is the process of influencing the activites of an individual or a group in the inefforts toward achieving a goals often in a given situation. As a complement to management, leadership requires one to be active instead of reactive, shaping ideas instead of responding to them, as a manager does. Leaders look at long-standing problems and develop fresn approaches to solving them. There are many managers who are not effective in leadership roles, just as there are excellent leaders who do not possess strong mangement skills.If we compartmentalize a manager's roles we could say that all good managers need to work on good leadership skills. Today's facility managers must set the tone and develop a leadership style if they want to become good leaders
