In the past until now, our companies registered of Company’s rules & regulations with the Labor Office.
Then, we provided the handbook of company rules & regulations to the employee and the newcomer who joined our companies later on.
Almost the same time, we started to have the Welfare Committee for both companies.
Some rules & regulations have been changed and modified as both agreed by the employee and the companies among the co-meeting.
These new scheme also has been recorded in the minutes of the Welfare Committee but the Company Rules & Regulations are still same unchanged (never modified).
For the above, I need your professional comments:
1. Do we have to amend in our company’s rules & regulations (both STL & SDCT)? If so, how?
2. Or we just used the minutes of the meeting between our management & the Welfare Committee as the evidence? If so, new comer staff may not know proper rules and regulations included their benefits which effected to their correct understanding, effected to our company’s image while we have to fight with our recruitment competitors and difficult to keep our employee.
After your comments, I think we have to check again with Khun Usawan, who is the Labor Inspector, Labor Department.
For the other points, I would like to bring your attention to the employee benefits as the company has provided several kinds.
For example, we provided some benefit such as :
• Company gift to the employee’s new born child (1,000 Baht)
• Company support for the funeral expense in case the death of the employee’s first true cousin.(Father/Mother/Son/Daughter/Husband/Wife)
• Etc (I believed we provided more many things)
I think our current staff and the new comer cannot find this kind of their benefit information in the handbook or anywhere as I discussed with you in the past.
It is also a tool for clear understanding to our employee for what our companies provided to them and it is better to do it now than to let them imagine or in doubt what they will get.
So it is clearly a good tool for your recruitment works.
It will be clear information for HR and the Administration to work and give proper and fairly support to our employee in order to make them happy in our organization than to run away as they do not know what we have.
Please consider and start to collect all information.
I will support you closely.
Kindly be informed with regards
