The continued professional development of all
groups has led to improved job satisfaction and
team working. The success of the project has had
a major impact on the provision of front-line
breast services. This has only been possible due to
the willingness of staff to take on extra responsibilities
for the benefit of patients and to improve
the service. It was very challenging to take on such
an ambitious training programme whilst struggling
to cope with the workload. This was a new
venture and there was no guarantee of success –
but we made it work!
