Since the average biogas production from cattle can change due
to the cattle race, their nutrition diet and the size of cow, the biogas
production by each cow is taken to be 0.8m3/cow/day. By assuming
150 cows in a village of 100 family houses, the biogas production is
about 120 m3/day and being conservative the biogas production is
taken to be 50% of this amount which is 60 m3/day and around
20,000m3/year. This assumption is used as one of the constraints in
HOMER model.
