Water extract acid hydrolysis
2 mL of water extractive was taken into each of the three culture tubes and 69.7 uL of 72% H2SO4 was added into each tube. The tubes were placed in an autoclave at 121 °C for an hour. They were then cooled in ice for 5–10 min before the samples were analyzed in HPLC for quantifying the presence of oligosaccharides in the water extract
