Sports are now becoming more and more prevalent with the unstoppable trend. Among variety of sports, dangerous sports are now standing out in relief and become a special part of society. There is an ebullient argument whether dangerous sports should be banned and I lean to the side of not being banned. This following essay discusses about this huge question.
To begin with, economic, health and cultural profits are mentioned to be the main reasons why dangerous sports should not be banned. First of all, economic profits are one of the most important factors. Dangerous sports are lucrative sports which attract the investment of many companies and associations. Especially, the organizers can receive a huge source of income from audiences who is attracted by these taking risk actions; the dangerous sports’ players receive prize with much money from sponsorial associations. Apart from that, the health profits are also the noteworthy reasons. We cannot deny that over 80 percents of dangerous sports are better at strengthening body than other safer sports. Besides the support of physical fitness, it is also the substantial source of supplying mental area whilst the audiences and even the players feel excited when performances happen. Last but not least, Cultural profits is an integral premise. Researches have proved that over 40 percents of dangerous sports come from customs and legends of countries which is an important factor because it distinguish different countries.
Nevertheless, we cannot dismiss some reasons why dangerous sports should be banned which is related to lives of players and the undergoing some loss of finance. First of there are some statistics about the number of casualties state that it is in the high rate. For example, Winter sports are particularly injurious to children and Snowmobiling, with speeds of 90 miles per hour and vehicle weights of more than 600 lbs., causes 200 deaths and 14,000 accidents yearly. This number of death is only one of hundreds other numbers in other dangerous sport. Moreover, There will be a declination of finance. Each time a player gets injury or death, we not only loose a source of finance support but also we have to spend drugs and energy to use medical machine to cure him. These reasons are sensible to say why dangerous sports should be banned.
In summary, dangerous sports give us some problems but the profits which they bring to us, can prevail the problems triumphaly. The problems can be handled by the development of technology now so we should maintain dangerous sports.
