COMPILING AND INTERPRETING THE SURVEY RESULTS
The survey investigator waits until a week or two past the deadline, and then begins tabulating the results. Be aware of the difference between straight tabulation (e.g., how many respondents said they ordered documents) and comparing or combining data elements from several questions (e.g., what percentage of respondents in the home state ordered documents versus the percentage from a neighboring state). Of course, the manager and the survey investigator should have planned the survey so that it captured the raw data required for the comparisons and combinations.
