5.2. Comparative study
Regarding the first practical lesson (about the knee and ankle), the mean value and standard deviation of the first posttest scores were 6.87 0.8 for the experimental group and 4.8 0.8 for the control group, as depicted by the left graph of Fig. 7. According to the t-test result, a significant difference was found between the two groups. The mean difference between groups was 2.07 (95% CI: 1.66–2.47) in a range of 0–8. Considering that 100% corresponds to the eight questions answered correctly, this suggests a significant increase of over 25% of learning achievement for the experimental group. In this case (practical lesson about the knee and ankle) the proposed 3D m-learning toolwas more effective than classical teaching methodology.
