Theoretical saturation: GT is only considered as ready for publication once theoretic l saturation is reached. The sampling does not lead to any further changes to the theory, as the scheme of categories and their properties and relationships fit new data without further modification i.e., "The point in category development at which no new properties, dimensions, or relationships emerge during analysis" (Strauss & Corbin, 1998, p. 143). In their report of their GT study, Schraw and colleagues inform the reader that during t first phase of their study they found that "the focus group and individual inter views saturated the codes that were necessary to understand the phenomenon of academic procrastination" (2007, p. 15). At the end of their study they invited participants to review their draft findings (a process called 'member-checking), which helped to assure that the final paradigm model was fully saturated, dependable, and credible" (p. 17)
