Individual pressure cell repeatability did not appear to be impacted by the level of rutting present in the individual test sections. However, the level of rutting experienced in the pavement sections was well below the commonly accepted
rutting failure threshold of 12.5 mm. Also, as repeatability of these instruments continues to be investigated, it is suggested that fatigue cracking should be considered as a contributing factor. Detailed cracking maps were not yet
available at the time of this investigation.
