around the service lifecycle and further detailed processes with defined goals and measurable objectives. So, this framework will be obtained by applying governance to SOA activities and defining new SOA processes, changing some COBIT processes by adding SOA principles and considerations, and providing metrics and maturity model. Some of the SOA processes are budgeting and project approval process, portfolio management activities, and defining the strategic plans. It is evident that any solution for SOA governance must be able to control and compliance SOA principles. So, we define key management practices as control objectives for any SOA processes and control practices for providing guidance to implement. Inputs and outputs of each process are SOA artifacts or COBIT key inputs and outputs.
Currently, in this extensive research that is being done in our department, the focus is on refining the description of
SOA processes, changing COBIT processes within each
domain, defining control objectives for them, and doing further practical verification. The strategy for testing this framework is applying it in a case study and qualitative evaluation based on elements that we have mentioned for a desirable framework.
