Outcome expectations for exercise (OEE) did
not differ at any assessment. Nantavanotayan44 also
found that there was no relationship between
perceived efficacy expectations and outcome
expectations among outpatient participants with
osteoarthritis of the knee receiving a health education
intervention. In this study, participants in both groups
responded the OEE scores at a ceiling effect.
This might have been influenced by participantsû
high expectations that exercise could benefit health
outcomes. The possible reason is that they were
elderly club members and had received health
information regarding benefits of exercise from many
sources including exercise practice provided in
their communities.
