“Hey, Yuu-kun, did you hear about the new kid?” Yoichi asked, leaning towards the green eyed boy. Yuu replied with a puzzled look about his face.
“You should really pay attention to the morning announcements more” Yoichi giggled. “There’s new kid joining our class! I heard he’s really rich and Shinoa told me-“he was suddenly interrupted when a blond head poked through the door.
“Oh, Mikaela, please come in!” Sayuri smiled and rose from her desk. “Everyone, we have s new student in our class” She said as the aforementioned boy slowly walked into the class, his head hung down. Although he was facing the rest of the class, Yuu still couldn’t manage to make out his face under pale blond locks.
“My name’s Mikaela Shindo Tepes, nice to meet you” His voice was robotic, like he was reading from a script. Mikaela… that name sounded familiar. Sayuri motioned for him to sit wherever he wanted. He immediately walked to the back row, taking the empty seat next to Yuu.
Should I say something?
Should I ask him what he thinks of the school? If he found his way around? Yuu thinks, shifting uncomfortably in his seat until a soft voice pulls him into reality.
“It’s been a while, huh, Yuu-chan?” Yuu-chan. There was only one person who had ever called him that. He snapped his head to the right, only to find himself trapped inside deep sapphire eyes.
“Mika… Is that really you?” Yuu half whispered, trying not to disrupt his teacher as she scribbled down a few notes on the blackboard. Mika nodded.
“Yup… it’s me” the blond smiled. Although he had changed so much, that smile that made Yuu’s heart go warm had never left him. Yuu didn’t realize how much he was smiling, he couldn’t believe he was finally able to see his childhood friend after four long years. Mika seemed to be the same, smiling from ear to ear, a contrast from his first appearance in front of the class.
“Do you two know each other?” Yoichi asked, smiling gently at Mika from Yuu’s other side, who blushed and turned the other way.
“Yeah… Kinda” Yuu smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck and blushing as well. Yoichi couldn’t help but giggle as he watched the two awkwardly shift in their seats.

“How long have you known each other?”
“Since we were ten”
“Really!? That long!?” Shinoa chimed, leaning over the table to face Mika. After Yuu had introduced Mika to the rest of his friends, they had all bombarded him with random questions.
“Shinoa, stop yelling, we’re in a library!” Mitsuba scolded, tugging on Shinoa’s sleeve.
“Eh? Aren’t you the one yelling now, Mitsu-chan?”
“You little…” the rest of the group watched as Mitsuba attempted to silence the purple haired girl until they were both reprimanded by the librarian, after which they began to sulk and complain about the school’s ‘strict’ rules.
“I should get going” Kimizuki said, checking his wrist watch and putting his books into his back pack.
“I guess we should all head home now” Shinoa yawned, stretching her arms. Everyone nodded, packing their books away.
“It was… nice meeting all of you” Mika mumbled shyly, a small smile playing on his lips. Yuu couldn’t help but smile himself, watching how Mika went from being shy and reserved to actually enjoying himself with his friends in just one day. Which was probably thanks to Yuu’s incessant attempts to get Mika into their conversations.
The group made their way to the school gate, and after waving Kimizuki and the girls off, it was only Yuu, Mika and Yoichi left.
“Well, I guess I should get going too” Yoichi sighed. “Bye guys, it was nice meeting you, Mika-kun!” He said with a wave, which Mika returned. That was when Yuu tugged Yoichi’s arm towards himself before the boy could leave.
“Bye, Yoichi” Yuu smiled, his voice slightly huskier. The close proximity of the two made Mika squirm, but that soon left him when Yuu tilted his head down and gave the shorter boy a peck on the lips, which Yoichi responded to. Mika had completely frozen, and only after Yoichi left did he finally speak.
“You… two are…?” He mumbled, unintentionally sounding afraid. Yuu blushed and turned his head away.
“Y-yeah we are… are you not comfortable with… that?”
“No! I was just surprised…” Mika had to say something, anything to ease the tension “that an idiot like you could manage to get himself a boyfriend”
“H-hey!” Yuu stuttered, giving Mika a playful punch on his arm. Suddenly, a grey car pulled up right in front of them, and somehow, Mika didn’t feel like throwing up this time.
“That’s my ride, see you tomorrow, Yuu-chan!”
“Bye, Mika! And I thought you’d grown out of that nickname!” Yuu yelled as the blond stepped into the expensive car. Mika giggled and waved him goodbye one last time before the car sped off.
“My, how adorable, you look happier than ever” That disgustingly silky voice said from the driver’s seat.
“I’m not in the mood, Ferid”
“I take it you’re upset? Does that mean I’ll be expecting you tonight?” Said man asked, turning to look at the blue eyed boy. Mika
