Last Sunday was a very special holiday for me: our family to go to Koh Kham. We arrived on the island around 9.30 am immediately headed back out to sea in a glass-bottomed boat that gave us a great view of the coral. It was so inviting we just had to go snorkeling. Looking at the coral reef was exciting, but actually helping to conserve this beautiful underwater paradise was even more rewarding. Our whole family joined the activity organised by Viny Thai, which aims to return 80,000 branches of coral heads back in the sea. The lecture about the project was very moving and made us all feel glad we had the opportunity to take part in such a valuable activity.
As well as the undersea beauty, Koh Kham is also stunning above water and there are many places to enjoy inexpensive but delicious food. We finally returned home at 8.30 pm but we all agreed we will return soon to continue the conservation
work we began this beautiful Sunday.
