A. calcarata root extract was used as a reducing as well as stabilizing agent for synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The dried A. calcarata root was washed five times to remove dust using deionised water and dried for three days, and then finely powdered. A 5 g of A. calcarata root powder was taken in 250 ml beaker containing 100 ml double distilled water; then the mixture was heated at 75 °C with continuous stirring for 30 min and then filtered through Whatman No.1 filter paper. The resultant filtrate was used for synthesizing Ag NPs and stored in refrigerator for further use.
