The film emerging from the die is conducted through a water bath, where the film temperature is reduced for further processing.
The following cutting unit cuts the film into strips of equal width.
The edge strip return sucks the edge strips off the holding frame and sends them on to the cutting mill. Then it sends the ground edge strips back to the feeding system. The waste material is remelted in the extruder for further processing.
With the take-down speed set higher, the holding frame ensures the necessary tension of the film, for cutting.
