Third Grade
In third grade, students learn not only about length, but also about the measurement of quantities such as dimensions and weight. Units of length up to the unit of the kilometer (km) are taught.
Also, when measuring these quantities, students are assigned activities in which they have to make "ballpark" guesses about the results and select the appropriate unit and measuring tool for a particular purpose.
