In most cases the moulded form shape gap between glass to the check fixture surface is OK in all areas but except for along the top edge (which is showing consistent results) of the glass curvature which would suggest the shape of the glass sag tool could be improved to fall closer to nominal (at points 6, 9, 10 in particular to the edges). This in turn should improve the results of the glass curvature at Datum 1 and 2, CP3 and 4.”
If at curvature point CP9 (tolerance +4) and CP14 (tolerance +3) which was seen to be over tolerance on glass samples 7 and 8, can PMK advise what the tolerances need to be at these points as this glass 6601218 is virtually the same as 6601215 except with additional holes and consideration was given to the results of 6601215 when developing 6601218 glass.”
The above is what I would like you to end to PMK
Holes:
Good results with 6000-038 gauge. Please note the gauge is on nominal material condition as we need to see if nominal still fits.
Note the pins on the glass check fixture are at minimum size and tolerance of position.
This is the point of difference between the 2 gauges.
Please review comments in the SIR for the pins.
