Bioinfomatics have been used as a tool to identify a set of potential candidate
salt-responsive genes located in chromosome 8 of CSSL KDML105 QTL-8 between
the markers RM210 and RM4153. Most genes/proteins identified were those involved
in photosynthesis and sugar synthesis pathway. A putative gene encoding 2Fe-2S
iron-sulfur cluster binding domain containing protein was predicted to have a
regulatory function involved in transcriptional regulation of other downstream saltresponsive
genes.
