Testing Hypotheses H1 to H5 Extraversion was predicted in Hypothesis 1 to be positively associated with Facebook use such that individuals who scored high on this trait spent more time on Facebook and had more Facebook friends. Consistent with the expectations, extraversion trait was related to Facebook usage which reflects a very small positive correlation. The same results also yielded that extraverted individuals gained more Facebook friends and spent more time on Facebook. These findings lend support for Hypothesis 1.
