Traveling by airways is becoming very common. In particular for a long distance travel airway
companies offer various entertainment programs which include complimentary foods. Depending upon
travel time different meals are planned for the need of a passenger. Meals are designed as per the need
and choice of a passenger which include vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Asian meal, Indian vegetarian,
Jain meals and meals for diabetes passenger. Air company makes annual contracts with the leading
hotel company for the supply of such food. An utmost care is required for the quality of food is
concern. However, in practice sometime quality of food is sacrificed and passenger is unaware of it. An
attempt is made to evaluate the quality of food offered during the travel by flight. From different flights
food sample was collected and examined for the quality parameters.
