In order to maintain a research environment, we feel it important that the ratio of high school dents to undergraduate students does not exceed 4: 1. In 8 weeks, the high school students had ample time to success complete all modules of the program This experience suggested that a condensed four-week schedule would be possible. With one-month sessions meeting every other day two during the summer, the program can theoretically accom modate 16 high school students with the aid of two undergraduate mentors.
