Racha Seamaster Divers are located on an idyllic pristine beach on Racha Yai Island, next to The Racha, one of Thailand's premier deluxe island hideaways. Only 12 miles south of Phuket and just 30 minutes by speed boat from Chalong pier. Our PADI 5-Star dive centre features a spacious retail shop, air-conditioned classroom and a purpose-built 3m-deep instructional dive pool.
Racha Yai island is well known for its natural beauty and for its excellent corals and marine life. The island's clear waters make it excellent for both beginners and experienced divers to explore some of the best hard corals to be found in the area.
Further south of Racha Yai is it's smaller sister island Racha Noi which enjoys similar conditions to Racha Yai, but offers more rugged and dramatic underwater scenery as well as a better chance for big pelagic encounters.
Day trip
For those certified, we offer daytrips to the nearby islands and pinnacles on our purpose-built dive boats. There is always a Dive Master around to look after you.
Racha Yai
Known for its easy diving, clear calm water and a good variety of marine life, this beautiful tropical island offers ideal diving conditions and is located just 35 mins from Phuket. The east side has mainly hard coral fringe reefs, and at the northeast tip lies the wreck of the Andaman Explorer. Set in a beautiful sand-fringed bay, the west side of the island offers underwater scenery akin to the north side with arguably better coral growth.
Beginners start their dive in a shallow bay with a sandy bottom, surrounded by colourful coral gardens. Certified divers will be dropped in deeper water (60 feet) and will enjoy exciting drift dives encountering blue-spotted stingray, shoals of barracuda, grouper, colourful reef fish and the unforgettable trigger fish.
Racha Noi
Giant underwater boulders covered with a variety of coral combined with excellent visibility (20 - 40M.) makes this an excellent dive site. High chance of seeing large marine animals -- whale sharks, manta rays, stingrays, leopard sharks and more.
The most southerly dive site visited on a day trip. It is located approximately 20NM south of Phuket and offers some truly spectacular diving. It boasts scenery similar to that found at the famous Similan islands, with giant underwater boulders covered with a variety of coral.
Visibility is excellent ranging from 20 to 40 metres. Water depths are generally deeper than on Racha Yai and the tidal currents are stronger. This makes the diving more challenging than on the sister island to the north.
