Chief Reconstructive Surgeon Doctor Anthony Wolfe is preparing to operate on two- year old Dylan Doyle,
who was nearly killed in a car accident a year and a half ago.
But so far the sedative they’ve given him before taking him into the O.R has failed to take effect.
Unable to console him, his mother has even been called into surgery to attempt to calm him down.
With his mom there to distract him, the anesthesiologists are able to put him under.
Doctor Wolfe is attempting to reduce scar tissue and remove fragments of glass that have remained in Dylan’s head from the car crash.
Before he makes the incision, the surrounding skin is anesthetized to reduce blood loss and to ensure he doesn’t damage the good tissue below.
The glass fragment they’ve discovered is much bigger than anticipated and appears to be stuck.
