Organizational commitment, which is generally referred to as "loyalty and care for the organization" is considered desirable by employers because employees with commitment to the organization are expected to be high performers; thus, it is rewarded with higher earnings (Bartlett & Miller, 1988;Goldsmith et al., 1997).
