Now that you have all of your tools, here's how you can make these sneakers at home:
Cut a piece of fabric to cover the front panel of the shoe. Lay the fabric over the panel to make sure you have enough and to see which way you'd like to arrange it.
Once you are happy with the placement of the fabric, dab fabric glue on the front panel. Use a paint brush to evenly spread the glue.
Place the fabric on the front panel. Repeat steps 1-3 for the back panel of the shoe.
Paint on more fabric glue on top of the fabric. This will stiffen and secure the fabric and make it easier to trim in the next steps.
Let the shoes dry completely.
Use fabric shears to trim the excess fabric.
Go over the shoe's seams and the remaining excess fabric with an X-Acto knife to get a clean edge and remove the rest of the extra fabric.
If you'd like, you can also add lace to the side panels. Be creative with fabric and color combinations to make an entire shoe wardrobe with this versatile DIY.
