Among harmful heavy metal ions, mercury ion is one of the most prevalent toxic metal ions, and has severe effects on human health and environment because of its severe immunotoxic, genotoxic, and neurotoxic effects [1,2]. Mer-cury ion has been reported to produce harmful effects at 5 mg L1 in a culture medium [3], which can damage the heart, kidney, stomach,
and intestines in human [4–6]. Therefore, mercury pollution is a topic of recent concern, and has sparked interest in the design of new chemical tools and tactics for its detection.
