correction formulae. This practice is adequate for interpolation between common types of heat exchangers with only slight variations in geometry, but it will not work in cases where the benefits of a new geometrical configuration are to be explored [3]. In an attempt to account as much as possible for the above-mentioned factors, while keeping computational complexity manageable, we have developed a numerical method to predict the performance of HRSGs. The method is intended for use in performance simulation models of advanced power cycles since its accuracy is acceptable and it does not require large computational resources or computation time.
