Autologous
a. Nasal Septal Cartilage
Harvested from the septum of the nose. The most frequently used autologous material for tip correction.
b. Ear Cartilage
Harvested from the ear, leaving no visible scar or change in the ear shape. This cartilage is used for reshaping the tip.
c. Costal Cartilage
Harvested from the rib, leaving a 2-3cm scar. This cartilage is very strong and is generally used when there is not enough septal or ear cartilage.
d. Dermis Fat
Harvested from the buttock, leaving no visible scar. Dermofat has no side effects, but can be absorbed. It is usually used supplementally during a revision rhinoplasty.
