In a calendar year, the Company allows the employees to take business leave for performing religious ceremonies, contacting state agencies, performing moral duties, business arising from force majeure or necessary business, as to be specified in guidelines by the Company. The rules for taking business leave shall be as the company regulation,
1. A permanent employee may request to take business leave with pay equal to the rate per hour of a normal working hour of a normal working day, subject to the discretion and approval of the supervisor, as follows:
2. An employee shall submit business leave form and request permission from the supervisor at least one (1) day in advance prior to taking leave.
3. If the form under 2 cannot be submitted, the time card shall be stamped first before bring the time card to the supervisor for request of business leave. The employee may take leave upon obtaining approval from the supervisor.
4. Approval of business leave shall be at the discretion of the supervisor based on the necessity and appropriateness on a case by case basis. After taking business leave, the employee shall display evidence and notify the supervisor on the first day they return to work. If evidence cannot be presented due to force majeure, the employee shall provide detailed explanation to the supervisor and person designated by the Company from the human resources unit of the Company.
5. Taking business leave for other purposes other than those specified in clause 1 shall be considered special business leave without pay.
6. Taking business leave incompliantly with the rules/guidelines hereunder shall be deemed absence, abandonment of duty, or abandonment of work, as the case may be.
A permanent employee may not request to take exceed six (6) days of business leave per calendar year with pay equal to the rate per hour of a normal working hour of a normal working day, subject to the discretion and approval of the supervisor, as follows:
1. Death of relative: death certificate in required no more than three (3) working days, for
the following persons:
parents
parents-in-law
spouse (exempt for wife and husband de-facto)
children
brother, sister
grandparents and grandparents –in-law
Any other relative living in the employee’s household who is classified as a
Dependent of the employee.
2. Jury Duty, hours will be paid with a copy of the court release is required
3. Inclement Weather, hours will be paid as outlined by policy of Natural Disaster/Inclement Weather.
4. Sickness in family, a doctor’s note in required for three (3) working days or more consecutive days.

5. Personal business requiring contact with the state agencies during normal hours (8.00-16.00 hrs.). The employee may take such leave in accordance with the number of hours spent for such business such as requesting a new citizen ID card or passport, renewing the car registration or driver's license, register a marriage or a child, etc.
An employee who requires taking business leave must submit in advance a written request which must be approved by company before the leave is taken.
Note: The paid business leave will not be including the balance of vacation and upon a reasonable reason.
