BoxeBehnken method is a response surface method including
some design points and a central point (Borkowski, 1995). In this
work five oil wells are studied for which the rate of gas injection is
the main parameter and the rate of oil production is considered as
the response function or desired parameter.
Forty six experiments are studied for this case, six of these
points are considered as the central points and used to find the
amount of error. The rate of gas injection for each oil well is shown
in Table 1.
Table 1 represents the amount of gas injected into each well, it
has 3 levels due to nature of the applied design of experiment. Low
level (1), center level (0) and high level (þ1) refer to minimum,
mean and maximum amount of gas injected to each well
respectively.
The rate of oil production from each oil well is to be predicted by
BoxeBehnken method. Determination of the interaction between
production wells using oil wells data is extremely difficult; therefore
the effect of the interaction between production wells is
