The circular-shaped 0.2-inch diameter force sensing resister (FCR) is applied for foot-pressure measurement by measuring pressure at the pre-determined location under the foot. Block diagram is shown in figure 1. The sensor is placed between two rubber footplates where subject is asked to step on. The footplate is divided into 9x26 elements. The twenty locations are measured, as shown in red dot in figure 2, and interpolated to provide a 2D 64x64 pixel foot pressure distribution.
