Subsequently, the effect of glucose and sucrose fractions
(0–9 %) in basal medium was studied on 5’-phosphodiesterase
production. The highest enzyme activity
was about 213 and 221 U/mL at glucose and sucrose
fractions of 6 %, respectively (Fig. 1). Sucrose was more
expensive than glucose, so glucose was selected as the
carbon source.
