Evaluation of the course content and delivery was through sessionby-session
and end-of-course feedback questionnaires. Iterative
improvements were made to content and delivery after each course as
appropriate, based upon participant feedback and local and overseas
faculty observation. For example, many participants in group 1
commented that both the airway and circulation lectures had too
much content which was delivered too rapidly to allow them to listen
and assimilate this new knowledge. Thus, these lectures were reviewed
and adjusted, either through editing to allow the key messages to be
more effectively communicated (airway) or through the allocation of
more time within the timetable (circulation).
