The objective of this study was to use the HYDRUS-1D software
package to evaluate N transport and transformations inpaddyfields
by analyzing experimental data collected in split-plot designed
field experiments (Tan et al., 2013) with AWD and CF irrigation
treatments. The effects ofAWD on the water and N fate were further
evaluated by the HYDRUS-1D simulation results through comparing
the water and N balance components ofpaddyfieldsunderAWD
and CF irrigation.
