Further to our e-mail dated 22 May 2012, our principals, who are the claim adjusters have requested us to explain to you that the Underwriters have declined your claim because of your failure to obtain written evidence to prove that you have received the shipment in a damaged condition.
When you noted that the goods were damaged, you should have sent a notification of loss to the carriers immediately and in no circumstances give a clean receipt to the carriers as this would prevent the Underwriters from obtaining recovery from the carriers.
We trust that you are now understand the reason as to why the insurers have declinded your claim.
