Could you please have raw inner door frame extrusions 668PQ001 checked for length? 20 of, randomly from some different deliveries of extrusion?
Can you then check some long and short ones through the frame bending process and see how these compare with the master 2D inner bent door frame 668PQ002?
Can you then 2D bend and press bend and assemble a raw inner frames; a long one and a short one from the results above from which you are happy with the results in fitting to the check fixtures and assemble these in raw condition to the striker brackets and see where the ends of the frame on both side end up in relation to the notches in the striker brackets and report back with the some dimensions and pictures?
If it is an issue by original design, we will need to do the following:
- Cut some off each end of the 668PQ001 extrusion accurately, before bending. I suggest we should aim to cut back by 2mm more than it protrudes past the notches in the brackets.
- Make a new 2D bend program and ensure the holes machined in the extrusion still remain correct about the centre lines of the 2D bent door frame.
- See how a shorter frame is affected by the press bend back stops in the press bend tooling as we may need to modify these press tools as well.
- Update and make a new 2D bent door frame check fixture once results form above are understood.
