Suspects arrested for allegedly stealing batteries from 2 Youngstown companies
Two men were arrested Friday morning suspected of stealing several car batteries from two Youngstown companies overnight.
Police said security video shows Alvin Tucker Jr, 28, and Justin Kennedy, 26, inside a fenced in area at Allied Erecting and Dismantling, 1290 Poland Avenue, where batteries were stolen from four transport vans.
Earlier, two truck batteries were stolen from a tour bus in the Transit Services parking lot on Performance Place.
Police believe the suspects then crossed the yard to Allied Erecting on Poland Avenue where the other batteries were taken.
Both Tucker, Jr. and Kennedy are charged with breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools.
They are both being held in the Mahoning County Jail
