that detects light from visible to infrared. We used the first of the three bands that composes this image, with reflectance values ranging from0 (dark) to 255 (cities). Although some nighttime light may reflect wildfires, we assumed that most or all values derived from human perturbation in the form of artificial light from cities, and settlements.
